fcwHere is an FCW article about how the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence recently advanced a cybersecurity information-sharing bill that is the latest attempt to find a way to give private-sector network operators liability protection when they share cyber threat information with government.

According to the committee, the bill gives the private sector incentives to cooperate and share info with governmental cyber defenders via a portal set up by the Department of Homeland Security.

The Digital Risk Management Institute firmly believes that an established digital risk management program will allow companies to not only participate in the voluntary information sharing efforts outlined in the proposed bill, but to also selectively share strictly defined cyber threat indicators.
